Different Panels

There are many types of panels. Older homes should have alooksie at their current panel situation to ensure it is not old or dangerous. Panels should be serviced every 10 years per the Electrical Safety Foundation & US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Zinsco Panels are known for not tripping when they need to which can lead to fire or electrical shock. We have seen Zinsco Panels that have scorching behind the breakers on the buss bars. If you ever smell a weird or burning smell coming from and outlet or panel, turn off the circuit and call us immediately. Federal Pacific Panels are the unspoken panels in the electrical word. We have replaced many for our customers. Google these panels and you will learn they are a major fire hazard.

Panels that are older or outdated were not designed with the current electrical needs for a family in mind. Most homes require at least 150 amps to power a home today, whereas most older panels were only 60 amps.

Call us today if you have any questions regarding your panel. We would be happy to help. We also offer a 100 point inspection of the home and it includes inspection of the entire electrical panel setup ($150 Normal Price). Just mention you read this article and would like a FREE Whole Home Electrical Safety Inspection.

Let us put a sparkle in your next electrical project!
